Dadas Program

Empowering girls through menstrual health education and support

Dadas Program

About Dadas

Dadas is our menstrual health project that aims at educating the community members including men and boys on menstrual management and providing menstrual management products to adolescent girls.

Its goal is to combat the issue stemming from lack of education on menstrual hygiene management through providing a comprehensive Menstrual Health and Hygiene materials for training sessions with girls, boys, men and women and making reusable sanitary towels for adolescent girls and young women in school.

Currently, the Dadas program provides sanitary towels and educational information on menstrual hygiene to adolescent girls throughout Bungoma County.

Program Features

Education

We provide comprehensive education on menstrual health and hygiene management to girls, boys, women, and men in the community to break taboos and misconceptions.

Products & Resources

We distribute both disposable and reusable sanitary products to girls who need them, ensuring no girl misses school due to her period. We also teach girls how to make reusable sanitary towels.

Community Engagement

We involve the entire community in menstrual health awareness, recognizing that sustainable change requires everyone's participation, including boys and men.
